2018 Sauvignon Blanc

North Coast Sauvignon Blanc

Vineyard and Wine Making

We are pleased that we have continued to work with the same vineyard for our 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, Bat Rad Ranch in Lake County. The vineyard is nestled in the remote red hills south of Clearlake in Lake County. After a fantastic growing season, we hand harvested on August 31, 2018. After the grapes arrived at the winery, they were whole cluster pressed directly to tank where a long cool fermentation ensued. The wine was then moved to neutral barrels where it remained until bottling. Bottled 119 cases.

TASTING NOTES

Opens with fresh lemon, lemongrass, tangerine, with hints of candied lemon, green tea, and lemon verbena. The crisp palate unfolds with juicy lemon, green apple, tart pineapple, with a touch of lemon custard and tart green melon. Tasting beautiful now, our 2018 Sauvignon Blanc should age nicely over the next 2-3 years.
