2019 Merlot ~ Mt. Veeder

2019 brought us a phenomenal a growing season without any adverse events. We were fortunate to harvest a small amount of Mt. Veeder Merlot in early October at 24.0 brix. After arriving at the winery, the fruit was gently destemmed, and placed into open top bins. Once the fermentation commenced the fruit was punched down by hand for about 3 weeks before being pressed directly to a mix of new and old French oak barrels. Bottled un-fined and unfiltered after 22 months in barrel. Bottled 125 cases.
